UTILITY CONNECTION DESIGN
We are excited to be working on a new project for the “Frying Pan”. The Frying Pan is a historic lightship built in 1929 that actually spent 3-years in the bottom of the Chesapeake Bay before being rescued and restored. The ship was located at Pier 63 for a while on the Hudson River and is now making a permanent home at Pier 66A. The project will involve designing new utilities connections (gas, domestic water, sewer, electrical and tel/data) for the boat from the park located on the West Side Highway. All utilities will be coordinated with DEP and Con/Ed and will run under the pier and will be designed for marine conditions. The Frying Pan caters to various events and is scheduled to re-open in May of 2008. Please visit their website for more information at www.fryingpan.com.
